Brush those teeth!

We have been giving Brenna a little infant sized toothbrush with infant tooth gel on it for some time now. She loves it and wants to "brush" her teeth on her own. That is a wonderful and amazing thing, and we want to keep it up with her to build great habits later.

Here is what happened this evening. She got her bath, got dressed for bed, hair brushed, nails clipped etc. Ken gave her a binky and we were getting kisses and heading for the crib. She takes her binky out of her mouth and starts pointing at the top of her dresser. She pointed and said "this....this...this" THEN SHE POINTED AT HER TEETH. Lightbulb went on, and we realized that she was pointing at her toothbrush sitting on top of the dresser. Of course we gave it to her with a little bit of gel on it. She "brushed" her teeth and was happy as can be. She got a little miffed when we put the toothbrush away. She them proceeded to point at her teeth, smiled and said "teet". Whaaaaat? Um, holy cow. Brenna dear, you have to stop flooring your parents. They are old and cannot handle that kind of excitement.

Keep on brushing baby girl. I had to hold your brother down to brush his teeth until he was six!

I promise pics of this cuteness very soon. I only wish I would have had a video camera for tonight's fun!

Brenna is 13 months old!

I really feel like we just had her birthday party last week. It is so hard to believe another month has passed so quickly. Brenna is a busy girl. She has added several new words to her vocabulary. She loves to say "snack" when she wants a treat. Tonight, she brought me her new board book and announced "boo-k". I still get so shocked when she throws a new word at us.

She is working on the walking still. She cruises along the furniture every chance she gets, but she is being so cautious about letting go and going it alone. She did let go for several seconds today, but she got scared when she realized she wasn't holding on anymore. One day she is just going to let go and take off. She is one of those kids who has to mull everything over for awhile first though.

Here are a few pics I took this week:

Checking out her new book.

Searching frantically for the page with the ball on it. It is her current favorite picture.

Modeling her new diaper. I think she really likes this one. It is super soft.

The aftermath of feeding herself blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. She went right to the tub after that.

Having her berry snack.

Showing off her rocking horse.

She really gets wild on that horse. Scares her mom sometimes.

Who doesn't love a big toothy baby smile?

Acting all serious for about three seconds.

More serious playtime.

She does love that horsey.

Cheesing for the camera!

Are we done with that camera yet?

Playing with Elmo and her Fridge Farm.

Brenna's day at Parky's Farm

We have heard about this petting farm at Winton Woods from others for months. Today was a beautiful Saturday, so we decided to head out for a nice lunch and to take Brenna to the park. She loved this place. It was quite hot outside, but she was excited to be there anyway. I took a ton of photos, and thought I would share some of them. It has been awhile since I have posted pics. Little girl has grown! I only wish I would have taken the better camera. There were so many great photo opportunities at this place!

Brenna hamming it up at Max & Erma's

Have snacks=happy girl!

Checking out the goats with daddy.

Whaaat is that thing? Llama

Goats everywhere. Not sure what to think.

BALLS!!!!!!

I will just throw myself all over them. I have never seen this many at one time!

Red, red, red. I like the red ones.

Mom! Look at all of those balls! She loved the ball pit.

Playing on the saddles. Does she look excited about that?

I can do this!

I didn't think we would ever be able to leave this area. She loved sitting on the saddles.

OK, what is this?

I can make it rock!

Go rooster, go!

Look out world...Brenna is driving a Deere!

I think I will stay right here awhile.

Getting a little help from Daddy.

If I could reach those pedals, you would never catch me!

Random photos from her BD.

I can't fix the random order of those birthday pics. Sorry!

So she turns a year old, and all of the sudden...

She wants to stand constantly, pulls herself up on whatever is close by, gets up, and can't get herself back down. Cry, sob, whine. I sit her down, and what do you think she does? Yup, she pulls herself right back up, all proud, smiley faced, and talking it up. Until she wants down. URGGG! Bedtime is not fun. We put her down. She stands holding the crib rails. Chats it up. Cries like crazy. We lie her down, tuck her in, and repeat the previously mentioned activity. URRGGGG!

We are also in the throes of teething hell once again. URGGGG!!!! Molars are pure evil, from the devil, low down, rotten, hurts like crazy, swollen gums, chews the skin off of her fingers nasty. I hate molars. Hate them! I so want my happy, bubbly baby back. She is not a happy girly right now. Please come in soon little teethies. Please!
