What a beautiful afternoon!

We spent the entire afternoon out in the back yard. Brenna played in her tent, swam in her pool, and played in the tent some more. That tent was the best purchase! It seems that little Brenna is not fond of the grass in the yard, and much prefers that none of her body parts come in contact with it. She will get over it, but the looks on her face are hilarious when you put her on the ground to play. She would rather be in her tent, and makes zero effort to come out of it.

Funny story... This afternoon, Brenna was running all over the family room in her walker. I noticed that one sock was missing and the other was still on her foot. So I asked her "Where is your sock?" Just playing with her, no biggie. Little girl runs the walker over to the end table and points at her sock lying on top of the table. Ken walked in right as all this went down. He had picked it up and placed it there while she watched him about 10 minutes prior. We were both floored. How does an eleven month old remember that? So, a few minutes later, I said "sock". She ran over to the end table and pointed at the sock again. I asked her "where does that go?" and she stuck out her sockless foot, laughed like crazy, and took off across the room. It took us five full minutes to pick our chins up off the floor. And this, my friends, is only the beginning. What are we going to do with her? :)

Swimming Pool Fun!

Brenna loves her little pool! We bought a few new water toys for her to play with, and now we have to make her get out of the pool. Sometimes I think there is more water outside of the pool than there is in it after she is done. She loves to splash. I am sure there will be many, many more pool photos this summer.
